
An immersion experience like no other, Link Up is direct from Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute and puts your students in the center of the action – a live, interactive performance accompanied by the Omaha Symphony! Designed for students learning to read music and play the soprano recorder, Link Up is the ultimate “must do” addition for any music curriculum. Through the program, students will learn about melodies and how they are created and used in music – all while preparing for their performance debut alongside the Omaha Symphony!
The Orchestra Sings curriculum includes "Ode to Joy," "Simple Gifts," Dvorak's "New World" Symphony, Mvt.2, “Come to Play,” and “Simple Melody”!

Teacher Training
Participating teachers will be asked to attend an informational session to learn about the Link Up curriculum and discuss strategies for classroom implementation. Recorder training will also be provided for those needing a tutorial. The training will take place on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Holland Performing Arts center from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Following the training, each participant and a guest are invited to attend the Omaha Symphony MasterWorks concert, Tchaikovsky's 4th Symphony, free of charge.
There will be an additional teacher training session in January 2015 (official date to be determined) for those seeking additional assistance in regards to recording instruction, curriculum, and any other elements of the Link Up program.
